Slimming Down 4 Summer: Tips for Losing Weight Fast
Have you put on that winter coat and are ready to shed it now? Every winter I usually put on 3-5 pounds unbeknownst to me. Then last year I was complaining to my husband and he pointed out that it’s just my winter coat and when spring comes it will melt along with the snow. I was amazed that he had picked up on this pattern before I had.
But alas, this winter I did not gain the infamous 3-5 pounds. I maintained my ideal weight only gaining a pound here and there during special occasions and losing it immediately when I got back on track.
Sound amazing? Well it is!
Here are 3 things I’ve done differently than years past and which I believe have had a profound impact on my metabolism and sugar addiction. Watch for Part II – with 4 more tips.
1) Ground Flaxseed.
I add this to my organic oatmeal that I cook on the stove and it has a lot of fiber in it. It is a superfood so it’s super good for you. It makes me feel full the entire morning until lunch time which is pretty unbelievable.
2) Go Organic.
It’s true that once you go organic you actually eat less so it doesn’t really cost that much more, plus you have the peace of mind of knowing that you are putting something healthy instead of harmful into your body. I eat 100% organic for breakfast and lunch. I’m still working on the dinner aspect – my family isn’t as easily swayed.
3) Throw the Microwave Out! Okay, I haven’t actually thrown the microwave out, yet. But if you don’t have a husband that strongly objects, I would if I were you. The least you can do (like myself) is STOP using it. I don’t think I need to go into the million and one reasons why microwaves are harmful but if you haven’t received the email that’s been floating around you can click here to read about Dangers of Microwaves.
