Benefits of WordPress as a Website
Today I would like to talk about the benefits of having a WordPress Website. I am by no means a professional website developer; I am just talking about my own personal experience with 3 website hosting packages: GoDaddy, Network Solutions, WordPress.
Godaddy is a great place to begin when you are working from a shoestring budget, but I found that by doubling my investment it tripled my traffic numbers. The biggest problem I had when I used godaddy for my website template and hosting is that no one could seem to find me. Even I couldn’t find myself – that was the first red flag.
Network Solutions was my #1 pick up until a few weeks ago when I wanted to seriously begin blogging and realized that NS’s embedded blog didn’t give me the rss feed I needed for my fans + they’ve outsourced their customer service and I can’t count the number of times I said, “I have no idea what you just said to me” and “I don’t think you understand what my issue is” on the last 2 calls I made.
WordPress is my choice for 2011. I have been in business now for 5 years and decided this is where I’m going to stay. I am ready to get serious about blogging and create a strong fan base and I believe wordpress is where it’s at! Stagnant websites that sit there and don’t do anything are a thing of the past. You need active, interactive and dynamic sites if you want to get people to come and then come back again.
Did I mention it’s my favorite because it’s so easy to insert pictures? Wow! Really lovin’ that!!!
Welcome to my new website on WordPress. Thanks Michele Bergh (Lodestone Dynamics) for talking me into making the switch. I have a feeling it’s going to be one of the best business decisions of my life!
