Third Times the Charm – Peace is Possible

Say each thought lovingly to yourself & watch magical things begin to happen:
Angel

A quiet mind oversees everything I do.

Calmness washes over me with every deep breath I take.

♥  Everything is in divine and perfect order.

Expand your awareness with wonderful words:

chockablock \CHOK-uh-BLOK\, adjective:

1. Extremely full; crowded; jammed.

2. Nautical. Having the blocks drawn close together, as when the tackle is hauled to the utmost.

adverb:  1. In a crowded manner: books piled chockablock on the narrow shelf.

Peace is Possible

As some of you know, my husband recently graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at CVTC.  It’s quite a rigorous program and we were thrilled it was finally over, but as with most programs nowadays there is some type of certification or licensing test to complete once you pass the course.  So Curt has been studying his heart out for the past 8 weeks preparing for boards.  We finally received his score last Thursday and he did not pass.  Yep, no enchilada.  So what that means is that he has to wait 13 weeks to retake the test and without a license he cannot work as an “assistant” he can only work as an aide and aides are not in demand.

So, we all spent a few days in that deep, dark hole piled chockablock full of self-pity and then went up north for a long week-end of wild life rejuvenation.  And I must say, by the time we came back on Monday night we all felt a new surge of energy.  He certainly isn’t the first person to ever fail the boards and he won’t be the last.  Sure this whole thing sucks big time and financially will set us back, but as I once heard in a movie “If everyone is still alive, it’s nothing but a bad day.”  When you think about that it suddenly puts everything into perspective.

And now, I choose to believe that

  1. Everything is in divine and perfect order.
  2. There was some experience or opportunity he would have missed out on had he passed.
  3. The experience of not passing will make him a stronger and more compassionate human being.
  4. There is a hidden blessing in all of this that we can’t see yet.

And remember, if you hear, see or feel it three times ~Pay Attention~ it means the Universe is speaking to you.

Disappointments and set backs are hard to get through. You are absolutely right on all your points. And how wonderful it will be when you see what was waiting for you both because of this.

    Hugs and butterflies,
    ~Teresa~

What a great story with powerful insights. I am so pleased you can see beyond the “story” and understand that there is a hidden gift in there somewhere. I’d love to read your blog after it’s been uncovered!

I love the quote you shared- “If everyone is still alive, it’s nothing but a bad day.”
It does put everything into perspective.
    Love the affirmations!

I love how you point out that these things do happen for a reason. Every single set back I have experienced had a reason behind it–it might not have been revealed immediately-sometimes it takes years, but when I look back I see it and I think-oh, that’s why that happened!

I loved hearing your voice in this post, and chockablock I will be using even though scoundrel is my word of the day today (randomly decided this morning) Let’s see….”The scoundrel passed out fake free passes to Starbucks and it was (like totally) Chockablock for the rest of the day.” TeeHee also did the the 3×3 exercise, that worked amazingly!

Absolutely — what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. So good that your family has come to that place, and that you’re ready to accept the next blessings to come!

LOVE the saying “if everyone is still alive, it’s nothing but a bad day”. I have my own version of that – “If this is the worst thing that happens to me this day/week/month/year, I’ll be a happy camper.” Not useful for everything, mind you, but it helps keep things in perspective. Good luck to your husband in the future!!

One of the most useful best hotel prices sites in the web. I’m a very spontaneous traveler; therefore rate compare.com is perfect for me. As short-notice hotel booking sites USA usually goes in hand in hand with higher prices, clean design, a big range of hotels and easy handling they’re always quick to take care of all my problems!

In the Zone Football & Softball School is extremely patient as well as applies well to their students. In accessory for teaching my son the basic principles associated with hitting as well as fielding, he urged our son and gave him the skills to be self reliant in the batter’s box. We highly recommend taking travel baseball tryouts….

  10. 150 amp electrical panel cost on November 28, 2017 at 6:18 am

Your 150 amp electrical panel cost is designed to sense when there is too much electricity flowing through a particular circuit, and shut off power to that area of your home. If you have an older electrical panel, this will cause a fuse to blow. In newer breaker panels, a breaker will trip.
