“The path is not to be found, but merely walked.”

I had an amazing time interviewing Noah for our first week.

Week 1 video interview will be available shortly on youtube, the audio interview for week 1 is archived on Heaven Sent Radio for the next 8 weeks and here is a short summary of the first chapter.

truthPrologue

“The only thing you should be doing is what you are doing.  Don’t read this and feel like you are doing something wrong.”

So often we read books and we become guilty that we aren’t trying hard enough or doing enough in our own lives’.  Noah was quick to point out that whatever you are doing right now is EXACTLY what you should be doing, nothing more…nothing less.

It’s important to live your own life and give yourself credit for your own hard work and effort.  This book is simply his story, his viewpoint, right or wrong.

“It is easy to attach an emotional history to a word, phrase or idea that can, in turn, create feelings which distort meaning or perception.  Yet a word itself can never judge or condemn, only its interpreter.”

I thought this was quite interesting as I’d never thought of it in this way before.  We each have our own filters and we can say the exact same thing to 5 different people and each person will take it completely different based on their “history” or filters of their world.

So important to remember…a word is just a word it is the listener that attaches meaning based on their emotional experiences….LOVE THAT!!!

Introduction

“I have come here to this life to experience a process of awakening into a more wholly reality.  In this process, I have been witness to an elegantly blatant chronological order which has organized and fashioned what once appeared to be chaos and madness.  The chronology of awakening grows daily in its obvious nature.  I see it everywhere now, this process.”

As we all have, come here to experience awakening that is.  And so we are reminded that everything is always in divine and perfect order even when it doesn’t FEEL like it.  Once we surrender to that truth life begins to flow and order arises out of the chaos.  And once you awaken you realize that there really are “no wrong turns, no mistakes, and no wasted efforts–ever.”

Noah also answered the question:  “Why did you choose to write the chapters in reverse order?”  Essentially he began with the moment we were dropped into this body, this consciousness which is where chapter 8 begins and then the book ends with chapter 0: Become the Blessing (There is Only Light).

Ch 8: The Lie & Truth are Separated (Darkness Falls)

“A decision was made, the decision to be expressed as the self.  In this decision for the self, I came to the darkness.  This darkness has no preference, holds no will, and only asks of me what I would ask of it.  This darkness is me.  I am it.

In this darkness, all agreements are made, all wisdom is tempered and placed appropriately and perfectly where it will serve when the time comes.

Here in the darkness, I long not for the light, for I know not of it.  I breathe in the quiet stillness during this calm before the storm–the wondrous storm–known as living.  It is here that I am surrender, as I release one kind of perfection in exchange for another.

The darkness is brief.  In this first, last and only moment of this darkness, there is a pull.  This is a pull in all directions as I separate from everything that I truly am, as everything that I truly am separates.  All parts of me are disjoined, scattered, thrown to the wind.

This is the pull of what is to come.  This is the creation of darkness.  This is the construction of the road to be traveled and the development of purpose.  The journey is afoot and not a step will be missed.  Yet I do not anticipate.  I only breathe, step, and be.  I simply continue this process, this movement through the darkness.

I have decided.”

“Everything is always in divine and perfect order even when it doesn’t FEEL like it.” This is something I need to hear every single day, because I’ve such a tendency to doubt it. Sounds like Noah’s work has some connections to Byron Katie’s as well — good stuff, all of it.

Had to slow down to read this. There is so much to consider and reflect on. Thank you for sharing with us. I’m feeling a real sense of repeated messages coming to me…time to slow down and pay attention. Thank you.

What is life if not a spiritual journey? During mine, I am coming to realize that what I’ve naturally done all along are the most powerful things to aid in my movement forward on the journey. We are, each of us, unique expressions of the Divine, and we spend our entire lives seeking to awaken the Divine within to the fullness of itself. How beautiful for each of us to find the community that is most in harmony with our own Divine! Thank you for making the space for this community. Hugs and butterflies, ~Teresa~

I love this, and your book club is a wonderful idea. I agree: my life is a spiritual journey. I feel like I’ve been a seeker since I was a child. What stood out for me was the other person’s reaction to words. There’s someone I know who’s toxic and I’ve noticed that what I say is always taken the wrong way. So intriguing—and enlightening.

Hi Julie- This is beautiful! “The darkness is brief. In this first, last and only moment of this darkness, there is a pull. This is a pull in all directions as I separate from everything that I truly am, as everything that I truly am separates. All parts of me are disjoined, scattered, thrown to the wind.”

My whole life has been a spiritual journey. I learned at an early age how to go inside myself to where peace lives and use that as a guide to create a better life for myself. Sounds like a great book!

Wow that was profound Julie! I’m going to have to read that through a couple more times to really let all that sink in. Wow, the bit about people having different emotional reactions to certain words in a sentence – so true! I for one notice myself doing that a lot! Thank you for sharing, I look forward to the next installment!

I’m with Belinda Rose- my whole life is a spiritual journey!

I totally resonate with the idea that what you are doing right now is exactly what you should be doing. It’s so easy to get caught up in judgement of yourself and where you are in your life. I remind myself that it’s all good.

  8. Belinda Rose on June 1, 2013 at 7:55 pm

I think my entire life has been a spiritual journey. All of the challenges, battles, despair had a deep spiritual meaning. I needed to overcome the darkness in my life and transform it in the Light in order to share my story with others. I’ve learned so many things along the way but to surrender all things and to have gratitude for all things are two of the greatest lessons. xo
